PROJECT 1
Famous Architect's Building: Materials' Application
In this assignment, we were to select a case study from our favourite architect. Through researching via online, we are required to identify and study on the ideas and concept behind the selection of the materials in terms of architectural and structural as well as the design philosophy of the architect and the building itself. The compilation of the findings needs to be composed in 2 A3 papers including the requirements stated in the brief.
SELF REFLECTION
After this assignment, I learned the differences between structural and architectural materials. It is important to know that the building should not be only focusing on the forms and designs, but it should concentrate more on the materiality and functionality which comes in together to meet the users' demand. With that, it is exactly what Bjarke Ingels wished for with his philosophy which is sustainable hedonisme.
PROJECT 2
Construction Detailing of Building Elements
This assignment requires us to produce a construction drawing set ( Detailing of floor, wall, door, window, staircase and roof based on a floor plan of a double storey terraced house ) in a group of 8 members. Our group is given timber as the type of construction material to be applied for the house. Apart from that, a 1:10 physical model is also a requirement for the project.

SELF REFLECTION
This assignment allows me to understand the way to draw construction drawings in detailed thoroughly and the annotation of sectional drawing that explains the details of the building. I also enjoyed the process of learning and building model with my teammates. I was lucky to have them as none of them is holding back our team progress.
