ASSIGNMENT 1: INTRODUCTION TO DRAWINGS
TASK
In this assignment, we are required to pick 2 selected items and draw a set of observational drawings with distinctive styles. We are to express effectively and creatively using drawing of still life from observation to visually communicate features and elements in drawing.
PROGRESSION
WEEK 1
During week 1, I've finalized the object that I want to draw which are astronaut for cat 1 and hot glue gun for cat 2. Moreover, I have taken some pictures of the items in different view.
WEEK 2
In week 2, I started drafting the title block for 2 of the tasks and produced drawings of Task A ( astronaut ) with vertical title block. After the production, I have uploaded the progress on Miro Board every week.
WEEK 3
In this week, I produced Task B's drawing ( Hot Glue Gun ) with horizontal title block.
OUTCOME
REFLECTION
Through this assignment, the TGCs I have acquired are:
DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
In this assignment, I understood well on how to draw a technical drawing after the lecture and tutorial class and had produced great drawings in task A as well as in task B. Furthermore, I was able to complete all drawings with clear, correct and precise information after the theories and also the comment given from my tutor.
LIFELONG LEARNING
I have acquired this skill during the assignment timeline, because the first thing I have achieved is that I can hand in all my drawings on time without tutor asking, and I was able to upload my progress onto Miro Board every week before tutorial class. Second thing is that I cab utilise the theories that I learnt in lecture class into my drawings.
Upon reflection, I would say that this assignment is a warm-up exercise for me since I didn't produce a complete drawings for months before this assignment. This assignment had taught me the importance of producing a clear drawings as to avoid a messy visual, and the basic theory of drawings to make a perfect outcome.
